What began as an ordinary pizza delivery ended in tragedy. Melinda Irizarry, the victim, placed an order at Marco’s Pizza Shop, totaling $33.10. When the delivery driver, later identified as 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo, arrived, Irizarry handed her a $50 bill and requested change. However, Alvelo reportedly told Irizarry it was against store policy to provide change.
After retrieving smaller bills, Irizarry gave Alvelo a $2 tip. The gesture, intended as a token of appreciation, apparently sparked Alvelo’s ire. Witnesses reported that the driver rolled her eyes and walked away without a word.
